Guest Potter Lisa Dolliver will be joining us on Saturday, March 9th 10am-1pm. Students will learn to color the clay and use it to make interesting, eclectic pottery. Carving will also be demonstrated. We will be using cone 8-10 porcelain and mason stains. There is only room for 3 more throwers and 6 hand builders. No experience necessary!

Lisa Dolliver’s Bio:

I began my clay adventure in 1975 when I began classes with master potter Makoto Yabe. I remained his student for thirteen years taking weekly classes and workshops in raku, colored porcelain and glaze development.

I began teaching in 1980 for teens and adults through several different venues many with which I continue teaching at present.

In 1997 I opened my shop in Maynard, Massachusetts “Earth Changes Pottery” where I had private students and yearly shows until 2017.

I have been a perennial donor to WGBH fine art auctions and in 2012 became a featured artist with a still available video now on YouTube.

I have been accepted for “State of Clay” biennial juried shows several times and currently am showing work at “Handworks Gallery” in Acton MA.

I have given several porcelain workshops at “Feat of Clay” Brookline MA , “Newbury Ct” Concord MA  and Wayland Park and Rec to name a few.

My student was accepted to the NCECA national show in 2016.

I have taken several workshops with master potters:

- Tom Coleman

- Makoto Yabe

- Mark Shapiro

- Randy Johnston

- Vince Pitelka

- Naomi Lindenfeld

And several others.

I continue to teach teens and adults and spend considerable time working with porcelain in the never ending search for beauty through clay.
