6-WEEK THROWING ON THE WHEEL & HAND-BUILDING FOR ADULTS
LEVEL 1 COURSE
Watch a throwing and hand-building demonstration for each class. You will alternate between the two with your classmates and make a variety of shapes/techniques. Learn to make bowls and mugs on the wheel, pulling handles, slab rolling, and coil pots. Come with your imagination and ideas of what you want to make and we will guide you. You will see a demonstration each night for 5 weeks and will glaze all your own work in the 6th class. Please note - we do not offer make-up classes.
LEVEL 2 COURSE*
Learn to combine hand-building and throwing and altering shapes. You will be working on lifting the walls and making vase shapes. Other projects include a hand-built box and making a chip-and-dip serving platter. You will glaze all your own work. Please note - we do not offer make-up classes.
*NOTE: You must complete level 1 before continuing on to level 2.
open studio
This is open studio time for those who have finished levels 1 and 2. There is no instruction. You purchase 12 hours for $200 and can use them on any Monday until they are used up. You purchase materials separately and have fun creating!
