Faeries and Gnomes
(Ages: 6 – 9)
Three sessions: July 11,18, 25 (Tuesdays) from 10 AM-11 AM
Cost: $45
Come enter the magical world of faeries and gnomes! This 3 session adventure is perfect for younger children who love to work in clay as they explore these enchanted creatures. During the first class, participants will create either a faerie or gnome as they learn the properties of working with natural clay. The second class will center around learning how to apply glaze to their bisque fired pieces. Lastly, final decorations such as beards, hair, gems and other assorted items can be added to give their creations that very special touch. These treasures can be proudly displayed inside or outside. Truly unique and wonderful additions to your homes!
Summer Hand-building Classes for Kids
Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!
(Ages: 10 – 14)
Two sessions: July 12, 19 (Wednesdays) from 10 AM-12 PM
Cost: $85
Are you an animal lover? Do you enjoy creating artwork using clay? Even if you have never had any experience with clay, come and be a part of this 2-session adventure! During the first class, basic skills for working with natural clay will be discussed. This will be followed by planning what animal each participant would like to make and how best to go about doing so. The class will end with the completion of their chosen critter. In the following class, students will learn about glaze application. After choosing their desired colors, each will apply the glazes to their bisque fired animal. Super fun! A great way to spend a summer morning!
